A roadmap for ‘The Seeker’: Toolkit for service providers assisting immigrant professionals in Canada.

The ROSPI project aims to enhance remote and mobile-friendly settlement services for professional immigrants by building on technologies adopted during the COVID-19 shift to virtual delivery. It will create tailored resources for both immigrants and service agencies, based on data collected through interviews and surveys about digital needs, barriers, and preferences related to career re-establishment in Canada.

Toolkit for sustainable hybrid instruction for adult literacy learners: Balancing flexibility & structure.

The TIES Centre for Immigrant Research, with partners from UBC, the University of Michigan, and Edmonton Catholic School Division, led a 2021–2024 IRCC-funded project to address literacy challenges faced by newcomers during the shift to online LINC instruction due to COVID-19. The initiative examined how in-person, online, and hybrid formats impact literacy learners, assessed the effectiveness of digital instruction, and identified best practices for hybrid literacy education.
